I had the itch for a multiday raft trip so Sondra and i decided to drive out to Fruita and float these two canyons on the Colorado river into Utah. Its almost 30 miles,if ya put in from Fruita. The weather wasn't bad,wasn't great either. But we never got rained on. Though the LaSal's, near Moab, got snowed on.We camped for two nights and spent three days on the river. We also camped out in Colorado National Monument on the night before we put-on. There are no rapids on this stretch-just scenery. We saw a couple of bald eagles and a young'n. Some petroglyphs too. We also hike to Rattlesnake canyon. Its second,only to Arches National Park,for natural arches.
